## Project Overview

# The Problem
|
|
Indoor navigation on cruise ships is inherently difficult for passenger, because ships are vast, look very similar and are mirrored.
|
|
We want to give the user a good navigation experience with technology.
|
|
The user just provides us with a target destination and we infert the current location of the user and compute the ideal route through the ship.
|
|
The navigation is updated live and simple to understand and follow.
|
|
|

# The solution

Build an app that does indoor positioning and AR navigation. Based on a digital model of the ship
|
|
|

# Core technologies
|
|
## Indoor positioning
|
|
Any type of client side on device indoor positioning wiht as little additional sensor introduced to the ship as possible.
|
|
Accuracy of about 1m.
|
|
|
|
## SPLAT
|
|
3D model of ship with live navigation overlay.
|
|
Basically transforming our 3d position of the indoor positioning technology + gyroscope into a live AR experience that renders a SPLAT. |
